We’re not chefs, or even really “foodies,” but we spend a lot of time at home and in the kitchen. We don’t always have the best equipment or the biggest budget, but we’re always willing to experiment. In this blog, we’ll be posting recipes that have worked, general favorites, and tips on basic cooking that we’ve developed mostly through trial and error at the stove.
Cooking has saved us both time and money over the years. We’re adventurous eaters but don’t want to have to spend very much money on taking a chance. By cooking for ourselves, we always get to eat our favorite foods and we know exactly how they are going to come out and how much they are going to cost. Some people claim that cooking takes up too much time, and true it does take some time, though no more so than ordering take out or waiting at a restaurant. If you enjoy cooking and eating, the time spent is not wasted. The more you do it, the easier and quicker it gets.
Our goal is to inspire you to learn basic cooking skills, use them to feel comfortable in the kitchen, and then enjoy cooking the food you eat. We hope you can use these skills to improve your diet, try something new, save money, be more self-sufficient, or just have fun.
So what are you waiting for? Join us and get cooking!
